Audition prep

for drill team or a high-school dance company (Payson High, Salem Hills, Juab High), the week is Advanced Ballet (90 minutes), Advanced Acro, Advanced Hip Hop, and Senior Oaks, with private lessons for a solo.

The Company contract in plain words

one season, two technique classes a week beyond choreography, 90% attendance, and two full months of tuition if a dancer leaves early; only a serious injury needing rehabilitation or a family move releases it (company page).

After high school

BYU and UVU, both within an hour, have dance programs; Oakley's own path ran through Southern Utah University's dance education program.
